Eleventh Class, October 13th, 2017

This day was the last day in which we taugh at Colegio Don Bosco. The first lesson was giving by the teachers Brenda, Hilda and me.  Our topic was "Professions" and our skill was listening. First, we started with the song "If you are happy". I think that was a good way to break the ice. Then I presented the vocabulary that children were going to use in the following activity. I made a matching game in which children pasted the picture with the correct name. Then, teacher Hilda presented the audio. The audio was about "Job descriptions", and in the first worksheet children had to choose the best tittle and in the second one they had to circle the correct answer based on what they listened in the audio. At the end, Children made a puzzle and then they passed and explain what they are based on the picture that was in the puzzle. 


Then, the teachers Antonio, Melissa, Steven and Gaby present the same topic but their skill was reading. They present their vocabulary and then they give to each children a paper with a short story called "Thomas and his friends". They read it and then they answer a worksheet. Then, they choose a one of the student and this kid had to put in order one of the events based on what the teacher read.

Their last activity was really challenging, because the kids were able to present by themselves their pictures and explain to the observers what they are using "I am a..."

Personally I really enjoy this day. And this was all for this class. 

Tenth Class, October 6th, 2017

In this class, we went again to Colegio Don Bosco.

The first lesson was giving by the teachers Andrea, Cubias, Pamela and Steven.

They taught about "Professions" and their skill was vocabulary. First, teacher Pamela started the class with a matching game on the board; in which, kids have to draw a line to connect the pictures with their names. Then, they presented some examples of when we can use those professions. And every time that children answer correct, they give them a pasted a star next to their names and at the end the one that has more star will win a surprise.

The second skill was grammar and the topic was "Professions".

The theachers were Emanuel, Andrea and Ricardo. First, they present the vocabulary and some words were new for the kids, but, they were able to understood them. Then, they present the grammar part that was the verb to be. And they give the example of "I am a doctor". I think that for kids was a little confuse this topic because of the articles "a/an". That also was given by the teacher and maybe was a lot of information to them and at the end they seems a little bit bored. But they understood most of the class and that was great.

Both groups makes their best in this day. And this was all for this day.

Ninth Class. September 29th, 2017

This day we continue with the class to children at Colegio Don Bosco.
The first teachers were Andrea, Ricardo and Emmanuel. Their topic was "Animals" and their skill was listening.

Then, Pamela, Andrea and Cubias presented their class. Their skill was reading and their topic was "Animals"

At the end of the class, we had the feedback with the teacher Orlando.

Eighth Class. September 25th, 2017

This day we start with the class at Colegio Don Bosco. We walk together from the university to Colegio Don Bosco, and then, the teacher assigned us a classroom. In our classroom arrive 9 children, 8 boys and 1 girl. The first teachers that present their class were Melissa, Antonio, Gabriela and Steven. Their skill was vocabulary and their topic was "Animals".

My group also presented our class this day. Our skill was grammar and the topic "Animals"
As a teacher I felt really nervous at the begining, but then, I felt a little bit relax because the children was enjoy our class.
When we finished, children leaft the classroom and we started the feedback with teacher Orlando.

Seventh Class. September 8th, 2017

In this class, we finished to organize all the details for the class. Like the poster or images that will be paste on the board. The snacks that we will give to the children and other little things.

Sixth Class. September 1st, 2017

In this day, the teacher Orlando raffled the order and the groups in which we will be in the practice with kids at Colegio Don Bosco. Then, he gave to each group the skill and the topic that we will presented.

My topic group's was "Animals" and our skill was Grammar.
In the second part of the class we plan the lesson and we start to create the materials that we will use.

Fifth Class. August 25th, 2017

These day, in the first part of the class; we go to a forum of teaching methods and techniques.

 After de break, we continue with the groups that miss to pass the last class.

Fourth Class. August 18th, 2017

This class was for us to develop the topics that the teacher Orlando gave us the previous class.
The first group were Rocio, Bea and Katherin. Their topic was sport and their skill was vocabulary.

 Steven, Pame, Cubias and Andrea were the second group. They tought the present perfect and their skill was grammar.

 Melisa, Antonio and Gaby were the third group. Their skill was listenning.

 My group was the number four. With my partners Hilda and Brenda, we develop the topic countries and our skill was reading.

 Fatima, Wendy and Diego were the last group to present their class on this day. Their topic was Mothers Earth and their skill was vocabulary.

 These day was really interesting because we learn new activities that can help us to develop our class in the different skills.

Third Class. August 11th,2017

In this class, we made groups of three and teacher Orlando gaves us the skills and the topics that we are going to develop the next class. We started to think about the activities that we are going to use in our class, and then we made the planning lesson and also, we start to prepare the materials that we are going to use to teach the next class.

Second Class. July 28th, 2017

In this class we made groups of four and five and we made presentations of the topics: " How to teach grammar, How to teach listening, How to teach reading and How to teach vocabulary". The first part of the class was to finish some details of our presentations and be ready to the second part of the class that was when we exposed our topics to our classmates.

 In this class we learned more about different methods and techniques that could be useful for us to develop a class.

First Class. July 21st, 2017

Friday, August 21st was the day in which this course began. This Friday, teacher Orlando Gomez explained us about the topics that we are going to develop during the semester. And also in this day we made some scenes from different movies to our classmates.

 To develop this activity we had some minutes to chose a movie and practice how we were going to develop infront of everyone.This activity was really funny and challenged to us. Its helped us to be more active and do not be shy infront of our classmates. We really enjoy it and this was all for today.
